Message Using the headunit to amp aftermarket speakers means you are not driving the speakers with enough power. They are designed for more nominal and peak wattage than your Alpine deck is delivering. Consequently they don't sound great. Get an amp, run it under the passenger seat, connect HU RCA outs to the amp, connect speakers to the amp, forget about the stock Bose. Your sub amp has nothing to do with the sound of the speakers, it's separate.

I have replaced 3 systems in my 3 Z cars, 2 were Bose. In each case, the result was a dramatic increase in dynamics and volume.

Regards,

My Zs are hybrid vehicles, they run on gasoline and money

times change, people change, but the Z32 still kicks ass.

I was more wondering how you set your climate control to 22*
lol, it would be that fastest freezer on wheels!
